About This House

This two-story 1870's Italianate had been abandoned for eleven years before it was gifted to Franklin Heritage. The details and original paint colors of this amazing house had been hidden by wide aluminum siding. The wrap-around porch had fallen into disrepair and several of the decorative brackets were missing. As the siding was being removed, more and more of the decorative detail was revealed.

This house was featured on the Franklin Heritage Historic Home Tour in 2006. An amazing transformation and the catalyst for other home owners on Water Street to spruce up their houses as well.

A paint scrape anaylsis revealed the original three-color paint scheme. The wrap-around porch is one of the finest examples in all of Franklin.
