Sandi Servaas Memorial AwardThe Sandi Servaas Memorial Award is given by the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana and recognizes outstanding achievement across the broad spectrum of historic preservation.
Franklin Heritage won this award in 1986 and 2004, making it the only organization that we know of to win this award twice. In 1986, FHI won the award for working with Board Member Sheila Hutcheon’s fifth-grade students. Members of FHI went into the classroom and literally brought pieces of their homes for the children to see and touch. |
In 2004, FHI receives the award again in response to our tremendous success with The Historic Artcraft Theatre, various restoration projects throughout the community, and other projects benefiting Franklin.
